Suraj Balajee- Little Magician
Suraj Balaje belongs to a family of renowned actors and film producers in India.
Suraj himself made his film debut at the age of three. By the age of ten,
he had worked in three films Asoka, Kannathil Muthamittal (Tamil) and Little Magician
and 70 commercials. Following his Asoka success, Suraj Balaje is scheduled to appear
in two prestigious upcoming projects.
Julia Rusatsky-KiKi
Julia Rusatsky, from Branford, is a very talented and friendly 12 year old
girl who is excited about her 3D Film, "Little Magician". She loves singing
and has won competition in New York City and appeared as a guest singer on
the "Sally Jessie show". Julia keeps busy with Community Theater and is
looking forward to appearing on Broadway or in her next movie.
Julian Carey-Tyrone
Julian is 13 years old. This young artist has performed the role of Muhammad Ali
for the Children's Theatre Co. of N.Y, in Milwaukee, WI, Orlando, FL and New York
City. He is learning tap dance at the Harlem School of Arts NYC. Recently, he
performed at an Evening of Tap with Yvonne Curry as her guest at the Third Street Music Settlement.
Justin Melvin-Yogi
Justin Melvin is a 14-year old freshman at Arts High School in Newark, NJ. He has
done commercials for Nickelodeon, Chuck -E- Cheese and McDonald's.
Justin has modeled for Kids"R"Us and Popular Club. He enjoys dancing and has worked
with several dance companies like Clock Work, under choreography Thomas Mckie, Harlem
Nutcracker and Dance Jam at New Performing arts Center. When Justin isn't working,
s he enjoys reading, roller blading, drawing and riding his bike.
Barkley, The Dog
Barkley made his film debut at the age of 6 months. He has appeared in over 15 films, 30 television shows and
80 commercials. He loves show business and is truly a Hollywood dog. Barkley can be seen in such films as
"American Beauty", "Volcano", "Problem Child 2", and "Ernest Goes to Jail".
Andrea Alton, the Maid
Since moving to New York four years ago, Andrea has been working steadily in theatre and film.
Favorite New York theatre credits include "Reckless", "She Stoops To Conquer" (Kaleidoscope Theatre Co),
"Museum" (The Chelsea Playhouse), "The Cause" (The Gallery Players) and "Naomi In The Living Room" &
other short plays which she produced and acted in. She originated roles in several new works including
"Control-Alt-Delete" (Bank Street Theatre), "Erostratus" (Gene Frankle Theatre) and the recent staged
reading of "Big Girl, Little World". Film credits include "Target Audience" (Currently airing on Showtime)
and various Independent Films including "Tattoos" and "Alone Together". Andrea performs through out
the city as a stand-up comedian and has appeared in such clubs as Carolines and the Comedy Cellar.
S.P. Balasubrahmanyarn -(Grandfather)
Sripathi Panditharadhyula Balasubrahmanyam. is a top-notch singer and has performed
in films in many Indian languages. His music transcends all barriers - linguistic,
geographical and chronological. He is a phenomenal success and incredibly talented.
Balu has sung over a staggering 36,000+ songs in a span of 37 years(a world record!)
in all languages that include several albums of contemporary Indian music, private
albums for devotional songs and movies. He won his first national award in 1979
for the movie SHANKARABHARANAM.
Tirlok Malik-(Krishna, father)
Malik's acting career has really proven to be a multicultural portrait. He has played
about 40 different characters ranging from an estranged husband to a political leader, a
lawyer to a taxi driver. He has acted as Lala Lajpatrai in "Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar", played
a lead role as a workaholic husband in "Love Lust and Marriage", a doctor in Rajkumar Santoshi's,
"Lajja". He is a pioneer in making the first film about the Indian-American experience, "Lonely in America".
It was shown in 74 countries and at 37 international film festivals and has won many awards.
Pooja Kumar, Step-mom
Pooja Kumar, a former Miss India U.S.A. and Video Disc Jockey for Channel V, is passionate about acting.
From among the 40,000 participants in the Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited Talent competition, Pooja
was selected as one of the top 10 finalists to be launched into feature films. Very soon she will be
seen in four feature films: "Kaadhal Rojave", an international film in Tamil, "Little Magician 3D"
(The Little Magician) and two independent English films, "Flavors" and "The Night of Henna".
Al Diorio-Villian
He once earned his living as a jazz drummer in and around the New York area.
Prior to his appearance in this film, Al was a featured as an extra in "Mickey Blue Eyes",
"Godzilla" and "Donnie Brasco". His T.V. credits include "N.Y. Undercover", "Witness To The Mob" and "Della Ventura".
He studied acting at H.B. Studios in N.Y.
Owen Burke-Villian
Owen Burke is a comedian living and working in New York City. He can be seen performing Saturday
nights with his sketch and improve group, Respect, at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Owen
is the Artistic Director of The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, a comedy theatre that promotes
the best improvisational, sketch and stand-up comedy in New York City.
